Supported Devices
SUNBAY supports in-person payments on a range of SUNMI smart terminals — from handheld to tablet, covering counter checkout, tableside ordering, delivery, and outdoor use. All devices are certified payment terminals with built-in NFC, EMV chip, and magstripe readers.

Operation Modes
Tapro runs in two operation modes, switchable under Settings → Operation Mode on the device:
- Standalone — Tapro accepts payments on its own. The merchant enters the amount directly in the Tapro app, with no external POS system involved.
- PinPad — Tapro acts as a payment terminal, receiving order amounts pushed from an external system. This is the mode used when integrating with SUNBAY.
All devices above support both modes.
Integration
Once you’ve picked a device, integrate with SUNBAY through Tapro Semi-Integration.
The list above shows devices that run the Tapro app natively. Other POS systems (regardless of brand) can still call into a Tapro-running payment terminal via cross-device integration.
